A Cut Above makes AA color pants now. I have 2 pairs of them, and they look identical to the company pants, but are much higher quality. The price is actually a little bit cheaper (even with shipping) than Twin Hill, and quality is much much better.

I heard Envoy recently fired a dozen or so FOs. Any details?

Probably not true, I'm sure there's been a lot of training washouts lately because of the gutting of the training dept for captains.

I'm not sure I'd really mind being fired w/o cause so I could go somewhere else and keep the bonus.

Last time I heard this was around May. And it is usually FOs that bust their probation ride and don't have a pretty HI10. We are back to the times where there are an abundance of FO's which means we are back to the stressful probationary era. Keep your nose clean on your HI10, stop listening to your salty CA's with union protection on how to play risky games. Did your last turn cancel and it is OSO, make contact with scheduling especially if you're on probation. If you they try to reassign you and you are on your commute home and you get that MA in your HI10, that won't look great if you bust your probation ride. Your CA giving you that advice will get a slap on the wrist essentially. You could lose your job. Just be smart. Right now there is an over supply of new FO's.

I have no information if this current rumor is true or not, but wouldn't surprise me.

While I agree you shouldn’t blow the company off. Every person on property needs to learn the contract. To many new people getting bulldozed by scheduling.

Is the probie ride the same as the first recurrent after initial? Or is it scheduled separately before recurrent?

Your first recurrent is your probie ride.

I have not been able to get a straight answer on this...I was a regular FO hire less than a year ago, and completed upgrade training a few weeks back (have not taken my FedRide). When am I officially off probation as I won’t be going to recurrent for ~11 months?

Thanks!

That’s one of those wierd scenarios. I would send your CP and email to get clarification about that. My guess would be that your LOE for uograde would have been your probie ride or it could also be your fed ride.

I’m pretty sure you’re off probation on day 365, regardless of your status or if you’ve taken a “pro or ride” Contract says 1 year...
