There's absolutely no truth to this.

Just wait until the CRJ guys get a taste of the 4-on 2-off...nearly every line in every domicile. Nice.

What was a typical CRJ line? ERJ contract requires 2-days off between trips, max 4-day length for line build. Historically, it's been heavy on the 4-day trips to protect commuters. You can fix this in Initial or Secondary line improvement windows by combining a 2-day or line fragment with a 4-day. It's harder to fix a schedule into <4-day trips though.

In the end, fixing a line requires you use a computer, or a phone, which shouldn't be hard for most... no need to wait for a daily roll-up reward. Trip trading is real-time (like Southwest).

It obviously depends on seniority. The thing with PBS is that the company/union build pairings, the pilots build lines. I'm toward the top in LGA. I can normally fill my line with 2 four days and a 3 day worth over 6.5 hours/day. I don't do duty ins before 0900.
I can do even less using vacation low- I've done a 3-day and a 4-day. Of course, I'm one of the evil pilots that the company hates who can use vacation low 8 months of the year. Oh well, I guess that will go away.
