Essentially, a leasing company. They fly for whomever is willing to pay...so as to cover their excess capacity, routes, last-minute charters, etc. Atlas, National, Omni, etc. |
At this point I have no idea why anyone would go to SkyWest. They're sending you to the east coast bases anyway. Might as well go to an AA regional.

So this was news to me had a friend go to a open house, very senior so no recent training cycles(new type/upgrade) they told him to go to a LCC for the new type. Apparently 4-5 years of sitting around on the same equipment is not what they like to see. Two other people I know went to another carrier and ended up at a legacy carrier before finishing OE at the transition airline. XJT is dying a slow death if the Two step move works it would be well worth it.

They are no longer stealing from their feed at that point, of course it works.

Now you have the luxury of bidding a base that isn’t open yet and there is no bid for. How exciting!

The TYS ERJ base isn’t open to CRJ guys. Kinda made it seem that way.

That's actually the reason TYS is opening....to try to give the CRJ guys a base where they wouldn't have to "commute", even though TYS is a decent haul from ATL.
