AA was our ‘profitable’ flying, too.

I can’t beleive skyw would fly those old planes. Seems a bit more up our alley. In any case, the situation is clear.

SKW is gloating they are now the largest 700 carrier for American.

You are wrong, not all is what it seems to be as you believe. Stick with your Mesa predictions and advice to new hires, some shuffling takes time to get it right for all parties involved. ExpressJet will be just fine.

As expected, SGU has announced the SkyWest base in DFW today. They will fly 20 crj700’s out of DFW. Of course, SKW announces DFW months in advance, just like every other XJT base they have taken over —- hoping and knowing they will get some residual XJT pilots. So much for the 700’s going to UAX.

Don't worry Skywest won't be able to staff all of the flying that they're on the hook for.

I'm not trying to be condescending or arrogant, just curious... What is keeping current XJT pilots from moving on to other airlines as it seems that they're being slowly dismantled?

Easy drive to work, can swap for the schedule and flying I want, ok money with the bonuses, might get into the CPP, overall good workrules and a pleasant place to work on a daily basis. Doesn't mean I'm not trying to get out.

People. ASA side is shutting down. Expressjet side has at least a five year CPA with United. They are not shutting down. Do your research.

Exactly. Worst case the remaining ASA guys end up flying 145s with their seniority numbers. And the 145 side is growing.

Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look elsewhere. But it’s not time to run on the bank, either.

For me, side business and multiple investments going on... my main focus is invest more and more for "early retirement" and not leaving for another airline, but that's just me. The airlines have taken a toll on me the last 10 years.

My predictions about XJT are pretty optimistic. But, I also think there is a snowball’s chance the ASA CRJ’s will be flying for UAX. With bases shutting down and pilots bailing, the shuffling should have been planned and being executed and the strategy laid out to the pilots.

I have already been contacted by SKW recruiters to fly for them out of DFW. Try talking to one about what’s happening.

Really? Thats what you're pinning your hopes on? When have they ever not met a commitment? I support you guys 100% but this kind of attitude is self defeating.
