AA was our ‘profitable’ flying, too.
I can’t beleive skyw would fly those old planes. Seems a bit more up our alley. In any case, the situation is clear. |
You are wrong, not all is what it seems to be as you believe. Stick with your Mesa predictions and advice to new hires, some shuffling takes time to get it right for all parties involved. ExpressJet will be just fine.

As expected, SGU has announced the SkyWest base in DFW today. They will fly 20 crj700’s out of DFW. Of course, SKW announces DFW months in advance, just like every other XJT base they have taken over —- hoping and knowing they will get some residual XJT pilots. So much for the 700’s going to UAX.

Don't worry Skywest won't be able to staff all of the flying that they're on the hook for.

I'm not trying to be condescending or arrogant, just curious... What is keeping current XJT pilots from moving on to other airlines as it seems that they're being slowly dismantled?

People. ASA side is shutting down. Expressjet side has at least a five year CPA with United. They are not shutting down. Do your research.
Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look elsewhere. But it’s not time to run on the bank, either. |

For me, side business and multiple investments going on... my main focus is invest more and more for "early retirement" and not leaving for another airline, but that's just me. The airlines have taken a toll on me the last 10 years. |

I have already been contacted by SKW recruiters to fly for them out of DFW. Try talking to one about what’s happening. |
