Quote: But once the contract is up and if UA doesnt renew? Isnt AA flying all thats left? If so then hopefully AA renews every time or its farewell to yet another regional.
Where have you been? AA flying was terminated. It ends April 2019. Ironically we are probably the best performing AAL regional.

That's fine. He may be asking the question for a valid reason, but should probably preface that fact.

Ignoring the AA part, UAL would have to wind down the flying. It isn’t like UAL (or SKW) has hundreds of 145 pilots to shift the flying to.

AA is already scheduled to end next year, ExpressJet is "realigning" with United, so that is part of the process according to what I hear on the CRJ side. Also, according to a email from our ASA MEC, ALPA has set up help with other ALPA airlines to our pilots "realign'" too.

Quote: Just taking a glance at the seniority list I see 65 names added so far in 2018. Average of 10.8 new hires per month.
I was hired March 12th. HR said they are going to hire 50 a month to cover flying, growth and attrition. 5 months later 43 pilots have been hired after me and are added to the seniority list and 275 + pilots senior to me have left. If you do the math it’s not pretty

The only carrot keeping people here right now is the bonus in September. Expect an announcement prior to then.
