So that's 7.5 months to be down to 1500, 20.25 months to be down to 1000, 45 months to be down to 0 pilots. So 3.77 years until we're kaput. Last one out turn off the light.

You seem to fail to remember that we are about to have anywhere from 200-600 plus pilots added onto the ERJ list after the CRJ flying ends!

Thanks for verifying the statistics published in the SkyWest annual report. At that rate, Xjet will be at 1,300 or so pilots in a year, 700 by the end of 2020.

A few months ago I thought that United would buy Xjet when the American side is finally gone. Still possible, but the guys on here have said differently.

CRJs will be gone beginning of 2019, as quickly as SkyWest can field them.
ERJs will shift to CommuteAir, but that will take longer. They aren’t as robust as Endeavor and Inc are so absorbing the airplanes will take longer.
I don't think you can quickly shut down any airline that is productive. There is not a huge pool of untapped trained and ready pilots with the appropriate type certificate. You are almost always going to have to do a gradual taper, or see expensive assets sit and be unproductive.

Not to say that the purchase will happen, or ever would have.....but “the guys on here” don’t know jack $hit....yourself included. The people who know, don’t talk about it.

I think we are down to about 400 active pilots. So my guess is about 200-300 of us will start flowing over in September. Unless they cancel the bid again.

You are correct. Look through the other regional pages and you can find Calmwinds spewing stuff like he knows everything everywhere! (not that I don't like to stir up trouble on other pages) None of us knows the true plan here at Expressjet. It is quite obvious that there is alot of stuff going on behind the scenes that none of us have the privy of knowing. I truly believe there is some very positive stuff in the works just waiting to be finalized. However I admit that there could very well be more bad news coming. Like you said none of us knows Jack Sh..!!

So, I am making an educated guess based on public information. Purely, a numbers calculation. Is Xjet filling their new hire classes?
Another regional pilot genius! God I don’t miss it.

I think the CRJ side is down to 400 or less pilots and still dropping. A friend who’s a captain at 9E says every other FO he flies with is a xjet retread.

And I think the 1814 is total list, including CRJ
