Thing about this round is, the “whole” groups gotta vote. I’d like to hear the XJT MECs take on this. The CRJ guys have all but basically given up. Most have written off their jobs at “ASA” and would vote it down just to see the place burn. Fortunately for the company, it’s probably only around 300 guys that will be voting from the CRJ side. Notice how much better the company has been treating the ERJ guys.

Wouldn’t expect anything much from these negotiations. They are in the perfect position to pass a turd sandwich of a contract.

Maybe they learned their lesson from the FA TA. That thing went down in flames and was pushed by the FA union and management. People have had enough.

Pilots from the CRJ side will not be able to vote though we will be bound by the contract being negotiated. We have pretty much been cut out of the loop by both the company and the LXJT MEC. Our MEC didn't even get a courtesy copy of the latest communication from the LXJT MEC that came out today. As for "voting it down just to see the place burn", that's about the same vocal minority you will find on the LXJT side. Heck, if anything I've heard it less from the LASA side. Most of those left really want a reason to stay but we have gotten pretty much nothing.

I don’t get the whole idea that the CRJ pilots won’t be able to vote thing. Where do you get that? Just speculating?

ASA MEC just holding on to union jobs as long as they can. It should have dissolved long ago and been unified as one group. It’s mind boggling if others view their intentions to shut the place down and burn in flames, they don’t have other jobs to go to.

“Don’t be distracted by shiny new jets,” be distracted by losing your job.

I think the opposite is more likely. ASA is more desperate to save the place and thus more likely to vote in favor of a TA. Perhaps that is why the XJT MEC doesn’t want ASA involved, which would be understandable in my opinion.

But that’s pure speculation on my part. I don’t know the real reason.

[QUOTE=da42pilot;2656570]Per the email, getting these airplanes are only contingent on reaching a new pilot agreement in short order.[/QUE]

And win the RFP. Who will lose -700's? Aren't large RJ's scoped out?

They are scoped on 76 seaters from what I understand. The 175SC is a 70 seat version. I’d imagine there’s room for aircraft 70 seats and less.

Who will lose 25 CRJ-700’s? Who operates exactly 25 CRJ-700’s?
