Yea, I have mixed feelings. I'm doing the math for myself and I could still make more money by starting over at Endeavor.

Can you ask for a 1 Feb class date? ;)

This contract looks like a win for xjt but is still going to struggle getting new hires that they desperately need. Seems all United express carriers are a distant 3rd. Delta and American regional airlines still 1 and 2.

Again calls into question the Section 28 blurb. If that does not kick in, and if UAL does not change something their FFD feeder will continue to suffer.

Bingo. I don't see how this fixes XJT's recruiting problems. A steady flow of quality recruits is ultimately the lifeblood of any business, but especially so in an airline.

And easy for you to say. Most of our guys left are topped out on their seniority and looking to make a lateral to another regional and start at the bottom, or go fly sh*t to Hong Kong and be gone 16 days in a row out of every month.

And get 14 or 15 hours off in a row. They probably work less total time than you do and will get paid way more in the long run.

I saw in another board where there is a rumor mill that ExpressJet will be opening a CRJ700 base at IAD.. is this complete bs or is it actually word on the street?

You don't see how E175s, probable United ownership, increased pay rates, and new hire bonuses of up to $40,000 would fix recruiting problems?

An IAD base would not surprise me, but it won't be CRJ700s. The 70+ seat aircraft at XJT will likely all be 175s.
