Unless it’s a JCBA, which the XJT MEC chose not to pursue. Why, I don’t know, but as you can imagine some people are saying they did this just to keep ASA out of it.

Now, I don’t claim to know the real reason nor do I really care much about voting on it. Just trying to explain where some people are coming from. I’m more of the mindset that keeping it simple (what XJT’s MEC has pursued) is a safer bet as far as avoiding entanglements.

A simple, yet impactful concept that wasn’t officially communicated nor adequately explained to us until what, two days ago?

I’d say 95% of us weren’t even aware it was a possibility, or even likely. We’re in the dark. Try to be a little less hostile.

Just flip the scenario. Put yourself into the shoes of those under the CRJ contract. Re-ask yourself that question and it may become clearer to understand.

If not, you should get out more. Your perspective may be too narrow. Pretty common though.

That’s from ALPA National. You can’t votr on a contract when you are working for another. Same reason as I, at XJT, shouldn’t expect to have a vote for United’s contract.

Your MEC knew everything that was going on. They just chose to leave you guys in the dark.

What they knew was this. 4weeks ago Joe told CS that from that point all comms put out by the XE MEC would be to all pilots.

At this point it's water under the bridge.

You know at some point everyone is gonna have to play nice and move forward as one group.

Hopefully we can all get along. I know myself and most XJT folks will be happy to have the ASA guys over. I just hope they bring positive and cooperative attitudes. Same to be said for our side!

Yup. Stuff like PBS vs line bidding doesn’t belong in the cockpit. If you have anything to say about the other side when the uniforms are on it had better be something positive.
Over a beer at the overnight, maybe. But don’t be a jerk about it.
I’ve flown with enough bitter pilots from defunct airlines that I resolve not to be that guy.

Where are all of the guys going to? I hear that some have left to other carriers to do DECs or quick upgrades.
