ATP CTP is technically different from training class.

I can confirm the FA furlough. I just flew with a FA only hours after he got the word. Really awesome FA too. South Florida commuter, so he's trying to go to Spirit or JB. Really hope he gets it.

I've also heard about the 175 instructor class being delayed.

Dumbest thing to do right before a 2 FA aircraft is showing up is to furlough FA’s.... hmmmm

I realize this comment sounds incredibly insensitive, but it’s not like they can’t be replaced in a span of weeks.

Agreed. But it is just one more piece of never-ending bad news.

Wasn’t ment to be insensitive. Sorry. Just more planning issue. And it takes more the a few weeks to ramp up inflight training...

You think you are a new hire on the E175? Try the E145.

I've been at the training center in IAH all week. While pilots are leaving in pretty significant numbers and new FOs will always be needed, after what I've heard and seen, the 175 thing is still a long ways away if at all. It's a mixed box of feelings out there. About 20 were scheduled to head up to STL for training last week and it was canceled last minute along with another flight attendant furlough notice.

You can read between the lines but if anything is going to happen, the benefits to anyone other than a 30 year guy will be many years down the road.

I don't necessarily agree with that. The 175 will likely be a senior aircraft, but the result will be upgrades and movement system-wide on the 145.

Adding a desirable aircraft is never a bad thing. Xjet needs to bring their upgrade times down to be competitive. That happens with new aircraft and attrition. Attrition is occurring and new aircraft may be occurring.

Yeah that was a typo, they pretty much told me to expect ORD in the EMB* 145.
