Seriously!?. I thought the payscale was fairly new/recent.
Maybe works to attract more pilots.

Yeah reason why I ask is that the newsletters make it seem like something is being altered or implemented. Or I just have high hopes.

They always bring that to the table. The only thing that matters is what the company brings to the table.

Default Career Regional Pilots

I think I can say confidently that the vast majority of us didn't start out to be "career regional pilots."
There are many variables in this career. Only a few of them can be controlled by an individual. You always have the ability to choose who you work for. Things like hiring trends, market changes, economy cycles, 9-11, actions by your CEO, etc are out of our control.
If your timing, choices, and persistence lead to a seat at a legacy major, congrats.
You have good luck!

I think that was targeted to the folks who complain about their circumstances. There are many good reasons to park at a regional airline for a career, especially one with a good contract, benefits, routes, etc like XJT.

...there are?

I know that XJT is one of the better regionals when it comes to contract and QOL, but I can’t agree that there are many good reasons to stay at any regional for a career. This sector of the industry will always be at the whim of the major carriers. Work rules and QOL are usually easily matched or surpassed after a couple of years of seniority at a legacy or LCC. When it comes to stability and lifetime earnings potential, it isn’t close. XJT is a good place for what it is, but I still believe it is in the best interests of most people to be actively trying to move on.

Then get a call that the added sim is cancelled and you could have taken the time off anyway. No per diem, earn $2200 per month after taxes. Oh but yeah the free breakfast is great!
Interesting transition plan..
