Well, let's not leave the potential new hires in the dark.
Any email from the union titled "The Truth" must be a good read.
Some fun quotes:
"It is also important to note that we have lost 224 pilots so far this year, which leaves our pilot group at a net loss of 85 pilots since January 1."
"The CPP information outlined in the company communication seemed to be threatening and everyone should be made aware that we have had about 12 final review rejections since November, and none of these folks have had anything in their records that, per the CPP policy manual, disqualified them from the program."
"The company continues to push, they try to do more with less, and they are distributing misleading information designed to make working at ExpressJet more desirable than it really is! I wish they would come to the negotiating table and right the ship, but time and time again we are told problems will be fixed, only to see the same results"
"since January the company has continued to spiral. "

Just read it, seems like he sheds more truth on what’s going on. I like the training so far and can’t really speak for what goes on flying the line but I did have almost 35 people above me leave since my hire date almost a month ago. Not complaining, just need to take what you hear in the hallways with a grain of salt. Still think coming here will pay off for me, just not expecting it to happen overnight.

WTF... wow!!!
What if you really are sick and have a doctors note?
Honestly, though I could also see AA doing something similar and also holding power over and also penalizing pilots from flowing for any plethora of petty reasons.
CPP or flow. Your company owns you and you have to march to their beat to be able to arrive at the Elysium Fields of mainline. . .

This is the decision I am trying to make right now, and I’ve been struggling with trying to wade through all of the noisy disgruntlement over there, as well as understand how ExpressJet really is doing.
ExpressJet seems to have far better QOL and work rules, so it’s a conundrum for sure.

The flow there isn’t guaranteed for anyone hired after 2014, and a letter that stays in your file for 2 years can prevent you from flowing until it’s gone. The success rate is still far higher than CPP, clearly, which has far more steps and stumbling blocks, but there’s some fine print in there for the WOs.

Higher pay
Retention bonuses
Higher new hire bonuses
Flow through
Our MEC is telling us the company is not coming to the table with these. It's also possible that they are negotiating these items and can't discuss them openly. The line pilots won't know until something happens.

My memory failed me, it includes documented sick calls:
No documented and unexcused occurrence of the following in a rolling 12-month period while employed by ExpressJet:
Sick call over company recognized holiday
Failure to operate assigned flight or event without notice
Notification of sick leave less than four hours prior to departure
Notification of sick leave after beginning of reserve duty
Sick call impacting an assigned training event
Failure of the pilot to be contactable when required
Sick call prior to or following a scheduled vacation
Greater than four absences excluding those absences covered by FMLA
