I see this then wonder why you guys can’t staff 350 flights a day while others can staff 150 flights with 350 pilots or 300 flights with 600 pilots

2. United cut back our block hours in anticipation of this CRJ to ERJ transition training, but they did it in a way that resulted in an inefficient pilot utilization. Fewer block hours, but more duty periods.
3. The CRJs have been an extremely inefficient operation thanks to the frequency of maintenance problems. Those planes are finally going away.
4. The guys coming out of training for the E175 don't really have a plane to fly. We've got two already, another will be here soon, but it's all FAA proving runs until service begins.
This is just off the top of my head.
We can handle growth, just not right away. I think we can ramp up block hours in July and August will be a good month.

That should shorten training and increase availability at the Sheraton.

Haha I don’t understand why everyone wants the Sheraton. The LaQuinta is nice, from what I heard the Sheraton has a shared microwave in the laundry room.

Training sim schedules are a **** show. Multiple emails per day with schedule changes, time changes, etc. Go from a 0000-0400 sim block to 1200-1600 block in a 36 hour time period and back again. First you get a bunch of days off, make plans, then get a call that they made another change and you don't have that time off. Ok- stay at the hotel for two days. Then get a call that the added sim is cancelled and you could have taken the time off anyway. No per diem, earn $2200 per month after taxes. Oh but yeah the free breakfast is great!

But you knew what you signed for when you say no perdiem and $2200 after tax...

Absolutely correct. That is my response when I hear or read about career regional pilots complaining about their pay when doing the "same job" as a Delta 737 pilot. However, it's nice to complain every once in a while.
