That 5 month timeline is for the people who started more towards the spring/early summer when they were doing all 145 classes starting every Monday morning. They've been splitting the classes as of late and only 2 classes per month now. I would imagine that someone starting today is back to the normal footprint.

We started the 5th. Half our class got 145 and the rest got 175. The 145 is AQP so the footprint is longer, but our end date is Oct 13th. This is with weekends off and a few 2-3 days off in between. Seems like the spring summer backup is caught up.

175 isn’t AQP? Any idea when it will be?

Until we find out when/if we get more 175s expect stagnation. There are enough 175 FOs to cover the current 25 airframes.
The company is woefully short 145 FOs because of all the 175 hiring and attrition. Expect the 145 unless more 175s are announced. If you are coming primarily for the 175 best bet would be Republic, at least for the next couple of weeks. But Republic really has enough in queue to cover their newest needs. They will quickly go right back to a 6 month wait.
If you are coming for choice of base expect to wait a few months. The days of choosing base out of training are in suspension. Expect base of choice in a few months. Needs are outweighing wants at the moment, but it is temporary.
Overall XJT has a lot of need right now. If you come you will be put where you are needed, not where you choose to be.
Sorry if this is bad news to anyone. Just trying to maintain honesty and transparency.
All eyes currently on the Mesa contracts and the 20 new 175s arriving April 2020. Also coinciding with the latest System bid effective date.
I don’t believe that is a coincidence.
Expect changes weekly. Things are very fluid for all United regionals at the moment. They will have to play their cards soon.
