I have first hand experience. Whoever talks crap about someone else's training without having gone through the program, has a lot to learn about aviation and life in general.
They could and should improve several things, but it's a really good program, FAIR from day 1, and yes, really intense. 4 guys in my class were let go, but not before getting extra training and extra opportunities. This is a demanding profession, and some people don't have what it takes, it's that easy.

FEW? How many is a few?

Any more than TWO and I’m going to seriously question their competence.

Not to mention the training center is jam packed. They don’t have sim slots available like a year or two ago.

If you start to struggle and don’t improve you will be shown the door and it should be that way.

10 is a lot I’m not sure Mesa even gives out that much anymore. I think you get 2 extra sims max now.

XJT has no policy. If you are showing commitment and progress you continue. They want everyone to succeed and only pull the plug when it is apparent the person has some sort of deficiency that simply will not allow them to complete training. The washout rate is 8% last I heard.

Think the policy went into place so that one person couldn’t cry wolf that someone else got 15hr’s ect... that happened awhile a go i know.. that’s % seems a little high compared to most regionals..

I know there are a few company men out there, but this DSPS guy is to the extreme. I didn't think it was even possible to have someone this willing and able to put their head in between their ankles and hold it there. He must wear the hat nice and proud. Yes, lets oust the first MEC that has ever had any cajones and do nothing so we can remain near the bottom of the barrel to possibly get bigger shinier planes! Or not, FUPM!
