The majors most definitely look at where you did your training. Going back all the way to private, even. A long history of attending reputable organizations with great training = less training the majors have to pay for.

This is why they hire so many military pilots. They do a ton of really great training.

Also, when referring to XJT training, that is generally meant to refer to legacy XJT training. I've heard legacy ASA training was top-notch as well.
L-ASA training was most definitely stellar. If they could get me through without failing I’m confident anyone can do it.
