Letter 2 is dead. Management says they have no reason to negotiate further gains for our pilot group. Management believes we are not willing to fight...will we surrender?

I mean if management continues to say ‘no’, what really can be done? Not a damn thing and they know that. We’re screwed 🤷*♂️

You could remember this next time you get a chance to vote on future promises from management...

Nowhere, but the company is asking for concessions. So there’s that

Morale is terrible. Our mechanics and F/A’s are also being asked for concessions.

Stay far away.

Another update from today:

12 December 2019

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the signing of Contract 2018. Letter 2, an integral part of Contract 2018, is an agreement between the Association and XJT management to return to negotiations "shortly after" the ratification of Contract 2018 in order to continue negotiations for those areas of the contract that the parties did not have time to explore prior to its ratification.

Exactly one year later, we are disappointed to report that The Deal is STILL Not Done.

Throughout Letter 2 negotiations, the company has maintained a number of significant concessionary asks, yet to date has offered very little in return. By the end of this week's bargaining session, the company's proposal included four concessionary items.

Your XJT Negotiating Committee's proposal contains several much-needed items that address quality of life, and items that would have made ExpressJet competitive for attracting and retaining pilots.

To date, our flight and ground instructors have yet to be provided an opportunity to discuss and negotiate their proposed items. A meeting was scheduled and confirmed by the company on two separate occasions to do just that, only to be cancelled by the company with only two business days' notice. On the final day of our bargaining session this week, the company offered a few days at the end of January to negotiate flight and ground instructor items. When asked when the company will have a response to the Negotiating Committee's current proposal, the company representatives stated that it would not respond until we meet in January.

The Negotiating Committee has continuously requested additional bargaining dates to continue Letter 2 negotiations. The company's unwillingness to dedicate the time necessary to come to a negotiated solution in a timely manner is concerning. To say we are disappointed with the lack of progress and the company's seeming lack of commitment or interest in getting to a deal would be an understatement. Our pilots, flight instructors and ground instructors deserve better.
