Commuteair/xjt merge.
Looks like a rumor?
|
What are your sources?
|
In on 1....
|
I could see that happening, but only because United owns 49% of ExpressJet and 40% of CommutAir. But apparently there is some HUGE news coming. So who knows 🤷🏻♂️ All rumor until it happens
|
Huge news? Good or bad news?

Also, it seems real suspicious what is going on with trans states. They are cancelling classes. United has only rewarded new flying to companies willing to finance new aircraft on they own. All the united owned aircraft seem to find they way to c5 and xjt. My two cents is it’s going to happen. Just makes sense. But. we shall see. |
There will be an outright riot at XJT if they do a percentage based seniority list merger. Where a 3 year C5 CA percentage wise may be equivalent to a 16 year XJT CA. I'm just theorizing, but it won't go over well at XJT if that is the case. It should be based on DOH.

As you guys are familiar with, companies don’t merge or get purchased during labor negotiations, like xjt before purchased by mana.

The first thing you have you understand United doesn't know what the hell they are doing when its comes to United Express.
UAX is the biggest cluster suck I've ever seen. I don't blame the UAX pilots or the companies I blame United. 701EV |
If you take a slice of cheese and merge it to a beef patty, it enhances everything for the better.

In response to johncarr post to under negotiations and Skywest purchasing them with a LOA, our union has rejected LOAs and made it clear it’s time for a new contract. Now could they change they mind, sure. But from what we been told, it’s a new contract. And again, that’s just my thought process on why I think we would personally merge. Either way, company (c5) knows our contract is behind and we can’t retain pilots at all because of it. It’s all just rumor at end of day. We heard it at c5... but we go about our business like nothing gonna happen. Let’s face it, both companies are controlled by the mothership and who knows what they want. |
Yawn..I’m still waiting on our “Industry Leading Grooming Standards.”

Merge XJT/C5 and make it one big WSCoD operator and then the 175s go to Compass :p

side note.....the c5/XJT rumor has been around for years. At one point it also included AirWis and Mesa. (All the CPP carriers) |
Anyone wanna take a stab at the 'big news' thats supposed to be coming???

Pizza party (don’t eat it all in one place).

Smart Perf is no longer available. Most of the software we is still under the Skywest license and the rights to use it is going away. Software that supports bidding on lines built by the union probably isn't available anymore or cost more than a PBS would |

I think the rumor is that bad news is coming. Who knows what. My guess is closing more bases like TYS or EWR or both. The could even close the 145 ORD base. Merger could be a possible thing as well. I’m totally throwing stuff out there, but whatever it is we won’t know for a few weeks.

According to past few emails, I think Newark will Always have XJT presence but prolly very small base similar to CLE/TYS
|
Let me put it this way. United has made it very clear that they intend to shift the 145 to IAH and away from ORD and EWR. They want to increase the 550 presence in those bases.
XJT is a United puppet. The emails we get about the future are just them painting a rosy picture when in fact they only find out what is really going on a short time before we do. Trust me no one at XJT knows what we are doing. All I am saying is that I believe that some bad news has been handed down to XJT management and that we will find out what it is before too long. |

The airline will close and those with valid CFI certificate will have the opportunity to fill in instructor vacancies at United’s new flight school, for an Aviate 2.0 or CPP 3.0.
...I don’t understand how some of you draw such rumors. |

I agree. I was the person on here last August saying we would hire DECs and I nailed it despite everyone saying I didn’t know what I was talking about. At the time the upgrade was 5 years. If you follow my posts they aren’t generally negative at all. I always call it like I see it. I hope I am dead wrong and we announce some great things. I’m just reading the tea leaves bro. |
So United is just going to throw away what theyve invested?

"big news is coming soon" is a persistent rumor/joke. It is posted on these threads every 4-6 months. Fed by trolls just to stimulate the rumor mill.

I can see that, its only on the forums and not one person talking about it anywhere else. Bunch of BS.
The world isn’t coming to an end. And I think DSPS may actually be JB and not SK. Trying to paint doom and gloom here because he can’t do it on XJT pilot lounge without violating an NDA. Scott Hall said back in November that XJT would be shifting Ops out of the northeast to the southwest. That will probably happen gradually as G7 gets the 550 staffed up. |
What’s all the fuss about on the XJT pilot lounge with him violating the NDA?

When has JB not violated a NDA with his facebook drama?
Yet no one on the pilot group has enough Ball$ to recall him. He should have never been elected. |

He’s apparently got some secret information that he can’t share because of his union NDA. He’s being a tease. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
[QUOTE=StuckOnReserve;2973420]I’m think this may be version 2.0 of the don’t come here tactics that some of the disgruntled ASA guys were tying a few months ago.
SOR, check your facts son! The don't come here to XJT comes from ALPA not some ASA folks. 701EV |

flynd94, do you still work at XJT? It appears that the Captain Rep from ORD is the only one fighting for the pilots!. 701EV |
