Instead of this “Letter 2” junk, the MEC should be focused on a “Friends don’t let friends fly for Skywest” campaign.

We should congratulate them, like we did Mesa

Mesa didn’t swoop in and take your 175’s like SkyPest

Every single ALPA carrier should do this.

It sounds like this one came straight from UAL.

They better move quickly because I’m not sticking around much longer just to have to go back to training again for another type rating without substantial improvements. If I go back to training for a new type it’s to fly heavier metal for more pay not the opposite.

Dateline: December 18, 2018

”The transaction also includes certain protections around existing SkyWest Airlines flying, as well as priority position to add 25 new dual-cabin aircraft with United should those opportunities arise.”

That's what I'm wondering. I know they (skywest) were "owed"/ "contractually entitled"/whatever you wanna call it in terms of getting airplanes, but I didn't figure they meant the 25 specific XJT ones. I just don't see why/how it would make sense to do it this way
