It’s been almost a year since I interviewed but if you are a DEC my tip is welcome aboard. A flight attendant will ask you to brief an approach plate. That’s about the gist of it from what I can recall.

Brush up on your basic IFR knowledge. Think like an airline pilot. You’ll do fine.

I concur with this ^ the gouges were spot on. Also just be yourself. All the recruiters are super laid back and friendly. If you know basic IF - brief the plate thoroughly and you will probably answer majority of the questions. Also look out for anything that could be a hazard on the plate.
Remember runway lighting, drag (induced / parasite), and talk about a system you’re familiar with on the aircraft you currently fly.
Quite a few “tell me about a time questions”

All the best!

For pilots it’s all hands on deck. And in their defense these are former FAs now in HR roles. But yeah the training record is going to **** in a hurry.

Do any of the regionals really expect to keep hiring? The legacies will have attrition due to retirements, but with all of the airlines slashing capacity, won’t the regional attrition stop since there is nowhere to go? You guys will most likely be seeing reductions too when United finalizes the new schedule.
