Except one that might help the operators who exclusively use 50 sitters; ie XJT

50 seaters are affected by the lookback as well. Besides we all know Skypest will get all the 50seat flying they want. XJT will get the left overs

for some reason I thought 50 seat flying wasn't really limited at UAX but 70+ seater was?

I don’t think 50 seaters have anything to do with scope.

mall regional flying has scope limits. But 50 seat scope allows for a lot more 50 seaters than 70/76 seat scope limits. For all practical purposes 50 seat scope wasn’t really a constraint in the past due to lots of mainline departures hence the love affair for 50 seaters. However, all UAX flying is constraint by how much mainline flying is done. Less mainline = less UAX.

and guess what? They will max out the 70/76 seat flying they can do and reduce 50 seat flying. And yes, chances are it will go to the people they have to pay anyway per their fee for departure contract, i.e. SkyWest.

It’s not 13 it’s a 12 month look back on UA block hours. The amount of flying the UAX can do is tied to that. He is also wrong on the time frame. It will become an issue in Q4 2020. That’s according to my union (UALALPA). Domino isn’t a UA Pilot.

This might get ugly

Bankrupt

So if UAL files ch11, this whole scope issue no longer is an issue and the company can tell the union to pound sand? Potentially they can take on as much cheap labor as they want

Also just found out the company has actually issued furloughs and not just WARN notices
