If SKYW does buy, these are fire sale prices, better now when investors would be willing to part at 3 bucks a share. BTW, I think it would be good for the pilot group if SKYW bought them, not so good if Hayman and associates takes over in a hostile bid. Many pilots would lose their jobs in that scenario.

Yes and you guys also have the options for the E-jets which SKW has expressed interest in if the SWA flying ever came to fruition (not flaming, just saying) or if your branded flying took off then they could bring the E-jets in to add more dept.

Don't forget that XJT has a good product and SKW would probably ink a long term deal for you guys with CAL if it ever happened.

This is all hypothetical and probably will never happen, but just remember that worst things could happen.

Just out of curiosity, and I mean this as a legitimate question and not flamebait, if management came to you XJTers and said they need you guys to take a pay cut or fly 70 seaters for your current rates just to stay afloat, what would you say?

True, could you imagine what would happen if Orenstein got his hands on XJT, but rest assured that that won't happen seeing MAG can't even afford to operate much less buy anyone.

Hopefully their MEC would say "bring them on property and we promise to negotiate!" Then get what you deserve now that they can take them away, but don't say no then lose them all and don't be a bunch of pushovers like our pilots are. Be tactical and beat them at their game!

I have it on good authority that SkyWest is actively looking at purchasing either MAG, XJT, or both. No, I'm not kidding. Stay tuned and good luck to all.

I personally hope everything works out for the best and we remain independant but I don't think it would be the worst thing if SKW bought us.

As far as taking pay cuts etc., I would undoubtedly vote "No" at this point. Maybe a different tune 6,12, or 18 months from now. And even then, I'd still be leaning to "No." But that's purely hypothetical.

No need for pay cuts seeing that SKW and ASA pilots have finally caught up (or close to) XJT current 50 seat rates. If SKW purchased XJT I see no furloughing, no pay cuts, maybe a small reduction in flying but mainly on the branded side while they retool/tweak (but they won’t get rid of it, they truly want it now that most of the startup cost paid for) and 70+ seaters coming on line in the near future. All are good for the pilot group!

You're right, if we were bought by SKW, I wouldn't expect any pay cuts. But if we didn't have any suitors and the current trends continue, it's always a possibility. Let me say, though, that I do not expect that from our mgmt. except as an absolute last resort.

Eeeeeek! Yes SKW would like their CR9's and US Airways flying, but they could just wait for them to close the doors, which is likely going to happen. If they purchase them they would have to deal with Aloha/Hawaiian – Go, poorly maintained equipment, lots of bones in the closet and poor labor/contract relations.
