Thats a little uncalled for. Not surprised coming from you but you must have yourself put up on a pretty nice pedestal in your own mind huh?

Real Classy I figured you to be better than stooping to this level. I am sure your friends at XJT would love to see your "tone". Regardless of what others post its never cool to flame about furloughs. When i got hired at XJT everything looked great and that nothing could touch XJT and look what happened. Today's golden nugget is tomorrows stinky turd, no one in this industry is immune and remember what karma is? With that said why do you continually feel the need to bash on XJT?

Don't even validate TD's flamebait with more responses. To sum up this thread, SKW is still doing just fine and we're all really glad XJT has secured more flying.

Did you already forget about the fact he was turned down for a job at XJT last year?

I believe he is just upset, because he thought RAH was going to be CAL's new baby, then they dropped all the CRJ's in IAH and now he won't have that base anymore. He ripped on us so much for having to have furloughs and he just can't accept it that we probably might not have any and RAH will have them first.

So you actually believe that but just don't say it on here?

So this scenario is what the buyout offer was all about?

Never said it was, the current EMB routes that Mgmnt has added are not XJT routes (SFO-LMT/OTH as well as a few out of SLC). I just wouldn't be surprised if Mgmnt decides to start fly some of the routes that are not profitable enough for XJT to continue flying when you guys are forced to decrease your branded flying. Some of those routes will be very profitable on the 120. A little while back we started SBA to SJC so I’d expect SBA to LAS to pop up soon as well as a few others.

But Nevets, next time I’m in SGU I’ll ask Jerry seeing he always runs his ideas by me first.

Sorry, but to clarify, are you saying that SKW would use the 120's on branded or DelCon/COEX routes?

At the end of the day, the passenger ONLY cares about price. But the branded product has created somewhat of a loyal customer base, as limited as it may be. If the those people now have to ride on a turboprop with no XM radio, and SKW decides NOT to give the $1 beers and the same food or level of service, that limited customer base could drop off.

And NO, I personally have nothing against turbo props. But a healthy portion of the traveling public does. Makes perfect sense to put a more efficient aircraft on a low yield route. Besides, do you expect them to put the Aquafresh paint job on a 120? That would be some crap to see.

I am only writing what I think because you asked...

I have a lot of respect for SKW management. They have built up one of the strongest, best performing regional airlines in the world. Thats what I think, but seeing how nobody really cares what I think or wants to hear about how well an airline might be doing while their's is struggling to stay afloat, I keep my thoughts to myself

The point of this forum is to exchange ideas in an inoffensive and intelligent way. My last statement will undoubtedly rub some people the wrong way (even though it is just my opinion and is based upon decades of financial success and performance numbers) and in so doing I would be contradicting the tenet of trying not to offend people. My current employer suits me, just as I'm sure yours suits you. Live and let live my friend
