Age 65 was a horrible rule change. We all knew what the age was getting into this. It was a surprise to no one. All it did was allow those at the top to soak it up longer while the rest of us have to push our careers back. those guys at the top got to reap the rewards of the age 60 rule throughout their careers and when it was time for them to punch out like those before them, they want to change the rules. I think i just threw up a little in my mouth.

The comedy behind age 65 is that the pilots over the age 60 are the most senior and thus the most paid and thus cause the company the most money. I will not keep someone from getting paid, but like I said it before and I will say it again, someone shoot me if I am working past age 55 as a pilot. I hope to make it age 50, that is when I will hit the Senior PGA tour.

Basically they outnumbered their parents, so it appears that instead of being immersed in their forefather's cultural values (forged by immigration, agriculture, depression, and war) and adopting them, they went off and did their own thing. Throw in some drug-culture, and they ended up quite different than their parents (who obviously had some good qualities).
I have read speculation that some of today's business troubles are due to the fact that the current leaders were the draft-dodgers of the 60's and 70's and the cocaine-cowboys of the 80's. Fewer and fewer business and political leaders have military experience.

The evolution of the boomers was pretty interesting...

I read an article a while back in the Times or maybe it was USA today, the first "official" Baby Boomer had retired and in the background was her HUGE SAILBOAT, and she was talking about collecting her social security, ya know the SS that many of us will never see............it angered me quite a bit
