this place (xjt) doesnt know its face from its ass. Our contract is better than ASA but I can tell you that whoever is running this place is asleep at the wheel. Training is a lot of info but the most important document you will soon own is your contract. Read it, know it, live it. Your not helping anyone when you fly against the contract. Just know that first year pay makes a person want to puke and I wont vote for a contract that doesnt have huge raises for all of us and most importantly you new guys. Welcome aboard. Unity is the key!

Yep.

Study the reserve rules in section 21 if nothing else.

And add [email protected] to your contacts for quick answers when the company tries to screw you and you're not certain.

Huge raises for everyone? I think somebody has alot to learn. There are alot of other quality of life issues in a contract that are more important than any huge jump in the pay scale. Unity is one thing but I think your new management is smart enough to not let unrealisitic unity run the company into the ground financially. There is alot we can improve on but we've got to be realistic about things, especially the pay scale. Afterall, the reason we are in business is because we fly airplanes cheaper than mainline can. If we get those costs closer and closer to mainline, why would they outsource there work? We all want the mainline jobs to be there if we so choose down the road.

Read this over and over again until you actually understand what you just posted. Until you, and everyone else, truly understand what you just said (and then preceeded with an argument AGAINST) then we are all screwed.

Whoa Chief.

Notice the snapshot is from yesterday(retarded)... Since the union emails reminding people to put in their bids... there have been LOTS of new bids... CR7 DTW went from 32 to 45.

Hey chief, I understand that. Just because it shows a preference for CR7 FO doesn't mean it's their first. Here's a helpful hint. Go to the standing bid list under crew member, filter the CR7 FO Detroit and then hit print (not really going to print), cancel the print box and notice it now tells you peoples preference number. If it says anything other than 1 that means it's not their first choice. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok Pal, that's all well and good(thanks btw, I didn't know that trick) but it really jacks up the numbers when people have CR7CA/ATL CR7CA/DTW etc... so it could be their fifth pref, but the first FO pref which throws that count all off.

That's my point pal, the preliminary is the only way to know where you stand at that moment. You can't tell me the amount of people wanting to go to DTW had increased from 32 to 45 which means new hires are off the hook. There will be little change between what we see today and the close of the bid. I stand by my comment most to all new hires will be sent to DTW CR7 FO.

Ok. Here's how I see it Sport, I predict less than 10 new hires will go to DTW...

High five? Try an Eiffel Tower...
