It is true. The company is ready to throw money on the table, the L-ASA side is ready to take it, and he L-XJT side has stalled negotiations until mid June. The L-XJT pilots need to ask their leaders why they need authorization from an MEC in recall to bargain for contract advances. Everyday that goes by is a missed opportunity. Tick tock tick tock. It's almost like they have ulterior motives for stalling this thing. As if they think it will give them an advantage in the SLI. That strategy didn't work for CAL, but hey what was that law of insanity Einstein came up with?

Only problem is that the company is willing to give us money right now and take advantage of some opportunities right now. LXJT pilots need to ask their reps why Chris is still involved and still stalling things. |

Capt. Tony, here is the rest of the story. Former XJT MEC Chair CG worked very closely with the CAL MEC during their seniority list integration. In fact CG was present during the arbitration award. LXJT is going to employ the same tactics that CAL employed by trying to delay SLI by delaying contract negotiations. Their hope is that the LASA side will retire lots of 50 seaters by the time this wraps up and they will get a snap shot at DOS instead of Date of acquisition and this will help them with an arbitrated award.

It looks like reserve in DFW is probably a little over a year. This was based on a quick look at pilot assignments for May and the hire date of the guy 20% from the bottom. No current plans to grow it, from what I have heard, but that could change.

The ASA mec voted unanimously in favor of the last TA and the company was spewing garbage about 3 yrs until another TA would be presented... both are running short on credibility. The local XJT mec is the only one that had any no votes or voices of reason last time around. If the company didn't want a delay than they should have been more realistic the first time around. The pilots are gaining leverage by the day and the Skywest board of directors are not happy with amateur hour in Atlanta. I hope both MECs can be on the same page going forward but the company needs to make amends for the used car salesman tactics and lies. Great that they want to be serious ... after 4 yrs. Don't let management scrambling to soften their woopsie tear apart the two MEcs.
