Expressjet AQP ATP Oral
Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knew what the ATP oral was like during our AQP.. Do they ask all of those pallet questions and such, and what kind of stuff are they going to ask?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Probably more suited for the XJT forums, eh? I don't know about the CRJ side, but I doubt you're going to get asked pallet questions - we don't deal with that stuff in real practice, and I can almost guarantee nobody could answer them. It's systems centered on the ERJ side.

Same oral exam we have been doing in AQP. Study the oral exam guide and read your FOM and OM. Also, go to the flight ops home page and click FO ATP information and read the 2 page memo they put out walking you through every step of the process.

Same oral as always. I had my AQP earlier this month and the FO was so stressed over it, but it was a non event. There isn't a walk around video anymore and the IAI/Limitations test is a written test administered on the first day of RGT. Straight up operational and systems questions. They'll ask you some stuff about the areas you missed on your ATP written, but that was the shortest and most painless part of the Oral aka KV.

^^^THIS. The oral exam guide they've posted is fairly lengthy (something like 80 pages I think) but it's very thorough and the goal is to standardize what kinds of questions are asked so no one is truly caught by surprise. It's a good warm-up I think. The memo is pretty beneficial in wrapping your head around what to expect for the entire AQP ATP process.

I got my ATP and type last week as part of AQP. The most important thing you should do is come prepared with your logbook updated and IACRA already taken care of. The company wants you to be qualified and apparently are still having issues with FO's coming to class with these things not completed. As stated above the flight ops page offers you a checklist of what to do and what to study. As far as the oral exam (KV) goes expect a normal AQP event in addition to the things you missed on your written and you'll be fine. I missed some weight and balance questions and was asked CRJ weight and balance questions during my oral.
