I think that all new hires should absolutely do their research before coming here to xjt. Especially the CRJ side. Right now xjt is effectively downgrading captains on the CRJ side. The upgrade is nine years and increasing. The recruiters are telling you that we are upgrading, while we are sending pilots back to the right seat. The idea is that they will begin upgrading again in the fall. This is unlikely for several reasons. The CRJ is once again shrinking. The FO list can't be maintained, many Fo's are jumping shimp, they can barely hire to cover the right seat. The upgrade time will soon be over 10 years. Don't come here if you have any hope of career progression or the left seat. It doesn't exist. This is the middle phase of winding down, I'm leaving, I hope you don't get caught at the end of it.
Good Luck.

Thats a serious gamble with lossing odds on the ERJ side with the amount of aircraft comjng off contract next year.. And if you listen to the last 4-5 quarterly conferance calls they all say they are "looking at extending" the contracts. Yet SKW had some 700's come of contract for 2016 and they anounced they extended them with other airlines.. Don't go to a airline based on "flow" i did. They said 3 years... It was 16...

Current upgrades are 2007 hires on erj. So, I guess it increased to 9 years.

That's an opinion, and I disagree with it. If you look at what they want to hire, upgrade times will fall. But with people saying do not come here, that doesn't make it any better. You need people behind you to upgrade. If you tell people not to come here, that means no movement for you and then you get more pist off.
