The FO list can't be maintained, many Fo's are jumping shimp, they can barely hire to cover the right seat. The upgrade time will soon be over 10 years. Don't come here if you have any hope of career progression or the left seat. It doesn't exist. This is the middle phase of winding down, I'm leaving, I hope you don't get caught at the end of it.

Good Luck.
Have fun at GoJets.

The good news is that the food at the LGA short hotel resturant isn't the worst.

Thanks for that bit of info, I've really been looking hard at XJT and the ERJ side, for the United Pathway Program. The recruiters have been telling me, that they're upgrading FO's now. And that upgrade time has fallen from 8 yrs. to 3 or 4yrs.

That's an opinion, and I disagree with it. If you look at what they want to hire, upgrade times will fall. But with people saying do not come here, that doesn't make it any better. You need people behind you to upgrade. If you tell people not to come here, that means no movement for you and then you get more pist off.

Thats a serious gamble with lossing odds on the ERJ side with the amount of aircraft comjng off contract next year.. And if you listen to the last 4-5 quarterly conferance calls they all say they are "looking at extending" the contracts. Yet SKW had some 700's come of contract for 2016 and they anounced they extended them with other airlines.. Don't go to a airline based on "flow" i did. They said 3 years... It was 16...

Current upgrades are 2007 hires on erj. So, I guess it increased to 9 years.

Does anyone have an idea on how long it's taking to hold a line out of EWR?

I disagree with your opinion of my opinion... with all due respect, I have seen over a decade how skywest operates... They are good at telling you what you want to hear. They say we're not going to lose airplanes just before a contract vote, then the next day announce airframe reductions... if you believe them about the upgrades, that's your choice. I doubt the guys in upgrade training, that just got told they will be a right seat reserve agree with you about skywests true intentions. Let's not forget who runs xjt... skywest 100%... no real decisions come through xjt management. That said, I encouraged people to come to xjt for some time, I just can't do it with a straight face now, and I can't lie like our recruiting team. Xjt will not be able to upgrade in mass again, for a long long time. The numbers don't work that way. If you are recruiting your friends and family, you are doing them a disservice... certainly asking them to be an fo for ever doesn't sell an interview. Let's be real people, if you are in the left seat at xjt, you have a serious interest in making sure there are people in the right seat, don't hurt others careers because of your personal gains...
