Delta has officially announced no more charges for pass travel. Expect a refund if you paid for another year between January and May. Your refund will come in October this year.

No Posts for four months? Am I missing the thread for L-XJT, or has everyone already left, so demoralized they quit talking, or literally just nothing to talk about?

Here's the subject.... Talk amongst yourselves... " SNL Coffee Talk"

Latest updates..

Rumors FOs never sit reserve, Junior CAs will..

when or is the flying coming back..

Bonuses are ok right, will we all get them?

The classes seem to have more pilots, good right?

The Pipe is down... but why?

November is looking rough, now December too?

It's just too quiet... sad

Nothing to talk about. The whole company is shutting down. Just feel sorry for the ERJ side because they are big denial.

There's no denial. That was a river on the CRJ side till the announcement. Their MEC thought they had the ERJ side in the bag till then.

United side is not shutting down. UALs experiment with putting the ERJs with other carriers is not going as well as they thought...hence the 5 year deal. New hire Classes have seen a small uptick in numbers and we can't get our line numbers up until the CRJ guys stop their complaining and either decide to have a job here or at another regional. They were supposed to be in transition training already but they are dragging their feet so they can see how many senior guys are willing to downgrade to avoid a commute or a new type ride.

Enough with the whole shutting down nonsense, get some new material. This has been a 10yr shutdown and yet...We are still here and the language in our contract is still very strong even by today's regional standard the only thing we need is pay and hopefully the 9E TA will help raise the bar and stop the race to the bottom.

First off, there is no dragging the feet. Pilots can't move unless there are announced vacancies. We just got the first ones and those who accept it will start showing up. Second, we still have to fly the DAL contract. I think right now they are scrambling to find ways to entice pilots to stay.

Finally, I'm sorry, but nothing in the big picture has changed. ExpressJet is still owned by Inc and we have very little control over our own future. Yeah, I know I know. United is having issues with other regionals. We've heard that before. DAL was having issues with GoJet, had to bail out Republic, even Endeavor. We were just kept around long enough for those places to get stabilized, then "Sayonara Suckers!!!"

Punkpilot48 10-12-2017 05:11 AM

We only have two 145 sims now and the company is trying hard to find available time at various flight safety's. The slow down is once again on the company not the pilots.

Who decide sell the 3rd sim and why?

Probably some A-Tech doofus.

That sim was owned by UAL/CAL. They offered it to us but at an extremely high price so we declined. When Greg/Terry were in ORD for the roadshows they mentioned buying a sim from flight safety at rock bottom prices.

Look on the positive side: Now we have room for two 170 simulators instead of just 1 down JFK Blvd! ;)

Yep, they will come in handy to Skywest, when we shut down.

Assuming you're bidding an ERJ base other than IAH - is the hotel paid by the company for transition training? (previously upgrade, but soon to be CRJ>ERJ transition)

I believe so.

If transitioning to ERJ, then yes if you are not IAH based.

No if you are.

If the sims fill up and you train at flight safety out of town (ex, DFW or STL, not at HOU), then it doesn’t matter where your based. Hotel is covered.

Anybody know what's up with the Crack Pipe?

It was probably something that involved a non-disclosure agreement.

CaseTractor 10-19-2017 01:39 PM

The Pipe is working at the moment... but very quiet... Not much to see.
