Examples of 76,75,77 trips
Newhire here...wanting to bid MEM but still looking for advice on which plane to bid for. Didn't know if someone could post some examples of trips/QOL/layovers for each a/c? I'm coming from the airline world too and didn't know if there are any good layovers or favorites on any of these aircraft. MD is NOT an option for me. I also would be commuting from DFW. Any advice/info/tips are much appreciated as I hardly know anyone at FedEx and just trying to make an informed decision. Thanks for any and all help.

76 or 75 would give you your best option for flying out of DFW or AFW. Home is always a good layover city. 76 or 77 are probably the best choices for giving you a layover where it matters whether or not it is a good city. Let's face it, it doesn't matter where the layover is if it 7AM to 6 PM.

Also interested. Just interviewed last week and don't know when I'll start training, but I'll also be commuting from the DFW area. No previous airline experience (military), so this is all new to me.
Appreciate the suggestions and thoughts.

It's all good, of you make it that way. Plan on being on reserve the first year and you won't be disappointed. The 777 and 767 are the "growing" fleets. Essentially there should be more options next year then there are this year. The 75 flies the basic domestic trip , two or three legs a night through a hub, spending the day at an out station. The 76 does some of that but also does the transcontinental flying with one leg out and anywhere from 12 to 36 hours off and then back across the country. The 75 does some days, the 76 does more day flying. The 777 flies long legs then 24 to 36 hours off then another long leg. Sometimes they do hubturns between long legs, only in some God awful place where there is no mall to eat at .
