Hopefully the union has the chief pilot email that says business will also protect you.

One, if that were the case it seems logical that it would need to be in the contract to be enforced.

Two, you'd think if such a major restriction existed, it would have been emphasized in this latest round of J/S guidance. JMO.

Attention to detail........negative 3.........

Still, I'd be pretty surprised if that bit anyone when it came to actually applying the protection. Who cares?

RF's FCIF says we can use business for a trip. Why would it matter?

CBA verbiage still indicates "Company staging jumpseat"

I had been putting ACP\CP emails into a folder on my webmail--but it somehow miraculously emptied itself at some point in the past. Can't even find them in the archive.
I would expect our Union has a copy of the email where a previous SCP indicated it would be a tough argument to discipline someone who otherwise met the CBA provisions whose status was something other than "Staging".

It's not something I tend to stress about though. It is heartening that the CBA is lowercase staging versus a "named" uppercase Staging.
I tend to figure if I keep CRS in the loop there are fewer bad things that a reasonable person would apply to a particular situation.

Been occasions where the departure of my scheduled jumpseat has slipped a couple of hours due to weather and I've given CRS a call to let them know that I'm on the way, and perfect world should make it into ops prior to check-in

Since it was a weather sucks kinda day, got the thanks for calling, don't worry about it
