Default Jumpseat on Fedex

I looked on the delta ALPA website and can't find anything about jumpseating on Fedex.

Do you still operate a nonstop from EWR to ORD? If so, is it operating Monday night/Tuesday am. If so, how do I last for the flight? Thank you.

Default hijacking thread

This thread seems done and the title is appropriate.

Last jumpseat FCIF from RF........

I can book a js in business status if I travel to domicile within 3 days of a trip, R-day or training (i.e. A normal commute 99% of the time).

But I can use staging to do the same thing as long as I'm going from my "residence airport" to domicile. This gets me lower priority, shorter lead time to cancel and restricts my city pair.

So, as far as these two options, nothing has changed from what I can tell. I always book business to commute and will continue to do so. Why would anyone book staging when they're going from home to domicile within 3 days of any event?

I'm looking to jumpseat on Monday, and the website says that it'll be on a MD10-29. Is there a way to tell how many jumpseats are on a flight? I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and look at buying a ticket out of a high-density commuter location on a Monday morning, especially if there are only a couple jumpseats. (Flight 0825)

Thanks

If that's out of JAX, there's only a Monday night flight. 825 goes Tuesday morning.

I thought you only get contract protection for missed trips due to jumpseat failure if you are booked as "staging." Am I correct?

I didn't see in the announcements for the new jumpseat priorities the cancellation timeline rules. I.e, how late can you cancel a jumpseat for each booking priority? Did I miss it?

Mostly sounds like names changed to protect the innocent versus a substantial change.

Staging-BP7 (i think) was 6 hours
Business-BP4 was 2

I think that's a WOM that has gotten passed around. I haven't done an exhaustive search, but I've never seen that in print and it definitely isn't in the CBA.

One, if that were the case it seems logical that it would need to be in the contract to be enforced.

Two, you'd think if such a major restriction existed, it would have been emphasized in this latest round of J/S guidance. JMO.
