"Police said after the victim was shot, he drove to Airways Food Mart in the 2200 block of Airways to get help."

Plenty of better establishments closer to I-240. Curious place to stop.

It also says he was in critical condition. Probably just stopped where he could. Fedex update says he is in stable condition.

When you get shot, maybe you can let us know how far up the list of priorities finding the absolute optimum location to get help is.

I'm thinking maybe he wanted to make sure the yahoo with the gun wasn't still nearby?

TLC GDL...still safer than a Memphis day turn.

I predict an FCIF that tells us to change out of our rich guy costume before we leave AOC.

I wasn't condemning him, or even second-guessing him. There's a nice Shell station on the right side at the end of the off ramp, and several other establishments within 100 yards. He apparently passed those by and then made a left turn into a "shadier" location a quarter mile farther up Airways.

I simply find the choice curious, and wonder what else could have been going on. Maybe he was trying to catch and identify the shooter, I dunno.

But still probably no support when it comes to having a firearm to defend ourselves.
