Looks like it was an MD-11 and left with one jumpseater. Something about this doesn’t add up. I don’t know all of the configuration possibilities on the MD but it sounds like you weren’t listed properly perhaps. Not sure.

If it was an 11 with a crew rest facility, I believe all the seats are CA permission.

That would make sense. Looks like the FedEx jumper was approved. Not sure what happened with our offline poster.

I added an email rule so my company email is forwarded to my mobile email. I’ve gotten all the CP requests. No other way to know short notice. I’ve had CP requesters shoot me a text from time to time also. Jumpseats should have helped the off line guy by calling the Capt if they have the time. Had this happen once.

I am planning to try out FedEx to get home leaving tomorrow out of LAX-MEM-BNA. I haven't listed yet but this thread has me a little nervous now, any tips I should know before hand to improve success? As an offline guy is there a way to know I have been approved or not and who to talk to if not to get me approved? This will be my first time jumping with you guys!

Probably not. Night or day? If it is night look at going through IND. Much more relaxing.

Night through Indy looks wide open for a Thursday PM/Friday 0440 arrival

Memphis is a higher demand JS locale for both LAX and BNA

Good luck

I don't know if this is a figure of speech or you were actually waiting for them to call your name. If it was the latter, just for future reference, they don't call your name. In MEM, they announce the flight number, destination and bus stop at which to meet the crew. If you wait for them to call you personally, you'll miss every j/s.

Frank - Maybe you have some kind of amazing personal email that I'm unaware of.... but if your company iPad is setup correctly to get company email it is effortless. As long as you're on data or wifi, they arrive automatically. If there is an easier way to get email, I'd be surprised.

Take a look at the directions in a previous post by Knightflyer and complain about our email no longer..... I think.
