FWIW. Was on stby trying to deviate back to the planet this weekend. And jumpseats told me the “auto” approval wasn’t working and 1 ahead of me was still waiting for Capt approval and this was about 8 hours from show. About 5 hours before show, I gave up on waiting to see what would happen so just cancelled. Don’t know if he/she ever got approval or not, I just took the scheduled back.

For FedEx pilots, my recommendation is to send the Captain a text message.

Offline pilots don't have that luxury.

In which case you're still listed on the FlightPlan.

Okay, I was wondering what MEL we have that would limit you to one jumpseater only. If there was a restriction in the courier compartment, there are two jumpseats up front. And to have all of the courier compartment jumpseats blocked? I'm trying to think of a scenario where you are only limited to one jumpseater in the entire airplane....unless it was a weight restriction (very unlikely), and can't come up with anything.

Maybe someone else can figure that one out.

I can see how the Bus could be limited to one jumpseater if the other guy was non-union..... but do those people even exist any more?

Okay. Maybe a courier oxygen supply valve and a cockpit jumpseat.

I rarely ever check my emails anymore as it's too much of a pain in the arse with the new system requiring the 2 layer sign in. I just went into the Jumpseat section and checked the box to auto approve any jumpseater. Problem solved.
