Class drops..

If he’s like my buddy, he was told to expect a class after the first of the year. A very legally vague statement.
I’d be curious to hear when/if someone is officially assigned to a class in 2020. That will begin draining the pool.

That raises a question, is there anything stopping the company from staffing itself into 4a2b?

Yes it is more expensive to pay retirement and medical to pilots. Therefore having 5000 pilots when you only need 4500 pilots is not cost effective. It also severely limits how they can schedule the long international pairings.

The Flight Schedule managers that spoke with the CGN/HKG FDAs a few weeks ago said that 4a2b is not even being discussed at this point.

Didn't want to start a new thread entirely for this so hopefully this isn't too far off...
Does anyone know the value of 1000 TPIC Part 135 at FDX compared to if it was from 121? Does that 1000 TPIC typically have to also be 121 time? See many, if any, new hires from the 135 world?
Thanks
