I would guess Sept 11th or 18th. You’d think they would want it to close in time for people to bid for January ITU, which opens Oct 22nd and closes Oct 29th.

Pretty sure “The World on Time” is an inside joke. That said, I could very well be wrong. In fact, I did think I was wrong one time but it turned out I was mistaken.

It's not the planes on time, it's the packages.

Likely need to be 3'sh hours late for the boxes to be late, and that's just for the P1 freight.
Afternoon and 2nd day delivery still On Time

I hear that 10 Sep is the next class. Weirdly on a Thurs. Is that the new normal? Maybe I missed something.

It is, I think because spouses come on day 1 and 2 it allows for time over the weekend to ponder a move to Memphis...

Yes, that’s the new normal. Thurs/Fri with spouses (benefits, etc) then into the company specific policy stuff on Monday.

Not a bad idea to give the spouses the weekend to hang out and then get home at their leisure. Also nice the new hires get a hotel for BI!

“Back in Mmmmmmyyyyy day...”

The current policy is more welcoming, as it should be.

Yes, it was a good couple of days for my wife to learn about the company and a nice little get away without kids for the two of us.

The Firm, er, I mean, FedEx does encourage family stability

I see there are likely MDs being dropped in the next few classes (and potentially open to anyone?). Any thoughts on seniority movement on the MD? Any guesses if they’ll likely continue hiring into it through the rest of the year and into next year? I’d love to fly one, but as a commuter I’m not sure if it’s the smart move. Does anyone actually bid into the MD, or usually out? I would think with the rumored system bid coming up, if more FOs bid out of it, that should open more new hire slots into it and thereby continue fueling movement there. Any opinions/insight are welcome.
