They had over 100 vacancies in the 77 and 76 after the 19-01 bid closed so once they filled the mass exodus off the 75 slots it was only a matter of time before all the remaining classes will be filled with mainly 77 and 76 slots.

Twenty-three 57F were passed over for October’s training bid with zero awarded transition or initial ITU slots awarded to current pilots.

I know it is an amazing deal for new hires, however, if I was stuck on the 757 waiting for a training slot to the 777, I would be ****ed off.

And if you've been here longer than 3 weeks this should have not been a shocker.

Are you kidding? You’re at FedEx! I could care less which airframe I’m on

When one considers the majority of our pilots are commuters, if you understood the night and day difference between the flying, pay and in most cases, QOL available to 777 FOs at FedEx, you'd have a much different opinion. Someone who made their bed and chose the 757 for whatever reason is different than the poor soul who had no choice and now has to watch new hire after new hire activate into a seat they should have first dibs on.

Totally agree. However, I suspect he’s kidding. It doesn’t affect me, since I’m in my final seat, but for those people who were initially assigned a 757, and have been waiting for the 777, that’s painful. Most of us remember many years of people being stuck in their seats for one reason or another, and knowing it could happen doesn’t make it any better. Wish we could fix this in the next contract, but I doubt that will happen.
