Hope you are correct, but I fear the writing is on the wall. Plan for the worst, hope for the best. In my last airplane near the top of the FO pyramid, so I am ready either way. If a bump-n-flush/furlough gets to me, we have grave problems.

I think they'll need more 777 captains based on the training projections. And the bid would be fairly soon based on the 777 training but that is just a guess. It's interesting to see how many pilots are leaving HK and going to the 777.
I didn't check the other airframes though, to see how many HK pilots are going to them.
We will never again go into a contract negotiation lean on pilots. Of that I am confident, although it is conjecture.

I may be wrong, but I think having the FDAs makes it much more difficult for FedEX to furlough. They can’t force a senior guy to an FDA while they furlough a junior pilot who is based there. But then again, who knows?

Well someone posted 16 - 767’s coming in 2020 and a couple 777’s
Not sure how many Md-10-10’s and A310’s we have exactly . Wikipedia says 16 and 3 respectively.
So if they leave then essentially 0 net growth.
