Amazon Prime video buttons are on most of the smart TVs sold worldwide...as are the Netflix buttons, YouTube buttons, etc.
What does any of that have to do with competition in the shipping business?

Check your sarcasm alert gain level. I believe you’ll find it’s set too low.

I think we’re missing the crucial question that this thread raises - which Fedex pilot slept with heavycargo’s wife?

And now this morning, we see exactly why FedEx has APS instead of Aerodata for ACARS based performance:

All the data we put into APS is already available on other systems. The data APS spits out should automatically come with the prelim/final.

So there's only room for 2 competitors in this market??
This is not zero sum. New entrants to a market can actually increase the number of consumers.
If you believe that Fedex management is not actively engaged in a strategy to address threats and opportunities you may want to ease up on the cynicism. Fedex isn't going into the online market place business Amazon an entrant into the Logistics business which is why Amazon is recruiting talent FROM Fedex.
Despite all the hyperbole its not Pollyanna-ish to believe that Fred Smith et al know this business better than most "analysts", journalist, and rank and file line staff.

A few questions for the OP, who is a very new poster to this forum, with a small number of posts. Starting a doom and gloom thread for a specific airline seems an odd way to start out.
So...what's your intention here? Who do you work for, and what is your purpose for starting a thread like this? Do you have some sort of beef with FedEx or the pilot group? Have you interviewed here?
I'm not saying there is ill intention, but when you are a new poster, with no background to follow, people will wonder if you're a troll, management, or have a grudge against the company.

He seems to be a somewhat recent Purple hire, as he says in Post #14:

During INDOC they were introducing the system that is used to calculate the TOLD info using the Toughbook. I asked why we were not using third party applications through ACARS like other airlines. The answer was it was created internally and if we did use third party systems they and their team members would probably be out of jobs.

What happens if we contract some due to Amazon into the B2B market, AND we lose the postal contract to them? How much would the FedEx Express airline contract?
