No invite for me either. Guess that’s for the better since next month’s schedule came out yesterday I’m working the 19th.

Dumb question... is it August 19th? Trying to keep the date free just in case. The website doesn’t list a date currently.

It is August 19th. This was an event that required a separation “application” to attend outside of the normal profile on the careers page. The application page was only up for about 24 hours.

Where did you hear that? It looks like anyone with an active profile could sign up for the brief time it was online. I got the invite to the event but I also got an invite to interview shortly after signing up anyway on 5 August. Therefore I will not be attending anymore so those that do not RSVP by July 8 will free up more seats.

Hear what? I was simply saying that an active profile didn’t automatically register you for a spot at the expo. You still had to apply to the expo specifically.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood what you said originally.

What is the content/ROE for this type of event? I had a great conversation with FedEx at WAI 2019 back in March. Are expectations different for this event?

Fedex will be at OBAP 7/31-8/2 in LA for those that didn’t get into the P’cola deal. Don’t know how much a difference it makes for getting an interview but most of the recruiters are very motivated to help candidates with the process.

Does attending one of these events really improve ones chance of scoring an interview? According to the agenda it doesn’t look like you get face time with a recruiter. Just more of an information session.
