It’s a good benefit for some, just depends on your situation. Vacation time is valuable for me, so I don’t use it. I’ve had great luck with FF tickets and using deviation bank money for my tickets. Again, it just depends on your situation.
When things get back to normal and loads are high again, one morning disruption can cascade throughout the day. Even well planned standby travel can go to **** in a hurry. These tickets are the lowest of priority. Flexibility and patience is key and be prepared to split up if that’s what it takes.

I had Pass benefits at my lass job and it was normal for a flight to go from wide open to oversold without warning.

You’ll probably find the travel benefit to be pretty unimpressive. At 6 months you have to take a course and complete the test to earn the id90 benefit. It basically explains the rules and procedures for using the benefit.
Depending on the fleet type you get, you’ll likely earn top tier status at one or more of the legacy carriers and will be traveling positive space on award tickets and getting upgraded. This is a far better way to travel than id90.

Over on JF someone posted about the ability to accomplish the test via the iPad.
Haven't done the test, but did get to the learning center on my iPad during a layover.
As the Kasa de Kronan comes closer to being empty nesters and free to travel whenever, it's something I intend to do in the future.
For right now, prefer to travel with Award tickets or simply pay the $$ to avoid the stress. Might change the mind if the kidlet's HS goes to full online again.

I apologize as this question doesn’t pertain specifically to this thread but does anyone have any experience with the BNA-MEM commute? Looks like FedEx does it once a day 5 days a week. Worst case it’s a 3 hour drive but looking to hear from those who make this commute regularly. Thank you!

I’ve flown with a few guys from BNA. Generally, the ones who fly days drive, nights fly. Just works better that way. Not sure how busy those flights are.
