Looking to take Fedex next month, both options have about a 3 hr sit in either IND or MEM. For jumpseaters do we have any access to some sort of food/cafeteria during the transit time at either IND and/or MEM?
Thanks!

Both locations also have a cafeteria that is open during the normal hub turn hours. You probably need to ask for help finding them, especially the one in INDY. One of the pilots would be more than happy to show you how to get to them I would think.

I tried to take a United jumper to the cafeteria in MEM, security wouldn’t allow him to go past the X-ray scanners. Told them I was taking him to get food, they said he wasn’t allowed. I found him a few Scooby snacks in AOC, best I could do...

This being said, FedEx is still, by far, the friendliest jumpseat experience I’ve ever participated. You guys know how to treat pilots like...well...people.

Even if you made it to the cafeteria in the MEM hub you would be disappointed, at least at night. Get a Jimmy Johns.
