In the mid 90s I attended a Ga Tech/FSU game and Braves game in the same day with the same group of Indians protesting at both events. I’m well aware of the history. The Seminole Nation is proud of their association with FSU. Too bad some Cherokee tribespeople don’t like the general term ‘Brave‘ and another tribe’s likeness being used.
I support the owners to make their own decisions based on what’s best for their fans and community. What I don’t support is the corporate blackmail of activist investors threatening FedEx, Nike, McDonalds, and others based on their tertiary business/ad deals.

Didn't Doak Campbell support segregation? Nice that you use that school as an example of not bowing to pressure.

We can’t totally erase history and judge people on their single sin. Doak Campbell was not a general segregationist. My understanding is a comment taken out of context in a single speech.
are we going to erase Clinton and Obama because they were liars? Are we really going to erase Washington and Jefferson because of a few slaves and not look at the totality of their contributions? Should we erase Lincoln because of his indifference to slavery at the beginning of the war? We can’t erase history and learn not to repeat it at the same time.

Who cares about a bunch of overpaid whiners, not talking about pilots either. They can shutdown all the pro sports if they are going to allow the players to make it a social platform for them to voice their option. They get paid to entertain not protest. Red Skins, Fred Skins whatever.
Maybe we should be allowed to put a statement on our safety vest that we believe in. Bet you we would be in the CP office pretty quick and probably be out of a job.

Right now people are being censored by other people just because they simply disagree. In this case, this team is being “threatened” by one of its sponsors (FedEx) who is in turn being “threatened” by its own investors who in turn are being “threatened” by its customers and employees. If we are going to censor everyone who has ever committed a sin in the past, then we should have started with the party of slavery, segregation, and Jim Crow. I’m surprised their name hasnt been censored already considering they are also going after Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln. I don’t support this team (I don’t really care either way, plus I’m a Ram fan 
), but if you do, then go out and buy their paraphernalia. Because that’s the only way anyone will be able to show the owner he doesn’t need the FedEx sponsorship. The free market will ultimately decide this.
