Posting a thread in the general forum and randomly posting about how much we make would be very bad form. That isn’t this.

He’s not acting like it’s a secret. He offering a W-2. And he knows he’s in the not even amongst the highest FO earners.
Sounds pretty transparent to me. This is exactly what I’d want to know regarding FDX v SWA, among the other 1000 things about schedule, QoL, etc.

Where did I say he's acting like it is a secret? I think you guys need to work on your reading comprehension or read the thread from the beginning. It was stated early on that a WB FO could make well over $300k here on 2-3 year pay. I pointed out that you can't do it without working extra. wrx stated that he did it and had a lot of time off and that he did work hard a few months, but was still home those months. KC10 stated that you could do it without working extra, you just need to be revised a bunch of times and be extended in the field. I pointed out that anything beyond 3.5 days internationally is a voluntary extension and IMO, working extra. I never doubted that wrx made what he said. I never said anyone was keeping a secret. I think that it is important for people reading this thread and considering coming here to know that you can make that kind of money on 2-3 year pay. I also think it is important for them to know that you will be working around an extra 25 days a year to do that if you are working at 125%-150% or an extra 45+ days at straight time. If that's what you want to do, great. Just know that if you only want to work 12-13 days every 4 weeks, you are more likely to make around $200k as a 2-3 year WB FO.

I "only" made $230K in the left seat of the 75 in MEM, but had a great year doing it, with 5 months completely off (the left seat of the 75 in MEM is the one seat that has allowed dropping trips all year, easily. Of course, for those looking for extra $$, it has been the worst seat on property).
So, 4 FULL months off (vacation and dropping trips), then flew 2 half months where I dropped half my line (and strung the intervening 5 weeks off together), and 6 months where I actually flew my awarded line (week on/week off double-deadhead night hub turns), and during which I picked up a total of 12 days of extra flying (average of 2 extra days during those 6 months).
Way worth it to me, living my dream and not waiting until retirement. I don't plan to ever be amongst the highest earners here - probably amongst the lowest earners in my seat - and I'm fine with that. And yes, many/majority of WB FO's earned more than I did - but they worked more to make that happen, and I thank them for that.
I would not have been able to drop full months of flying at previous carriers where I flew, there was a Credit Hour minimum per month that had to be met. No minimum hours per month at FDX, *********ng love it.
Scheduling-wise: most of what I've flown here for 10 years is night hub turns. Definitely more demanding than red-eyes at SWA, but they get me home every weekend on months I fly, and I commute from/to home on a paid day, on a revenue seat earning miles - sometimes even being entirely home on a paid day, on the front or back end of the trip (on the WB international lines you can sometimes be home 48+ hours on front/back end while being paid).
You should expect night-hub turns for a while unless on the 777 or living in base. Or, early on, you can give up days off to commute to daytime flying. Very much seniority dependent, more so than at SWA or any other pax carrier I'm familiar with.
Important to know what you're getting into, specially leaving a great gig like SWA. Truly, you have a great "problem" on your hands.
There's something for everyone here at Purple. Even with the night hub-turns, I love this gig and wouldn't swap for a job with any other carrier out there. Feel very fortunate to be here.
Just a different perspective for the guy making the big decision.

Cloud, thanks for your post. I'm still trying to make the leap from SWA to FedEx. It's a good job, but it wasn't number 1 for a reason and the longer I do it, the more those reasons become apparent.
The WARN letter didn't necessarily endear me to the LUV airline, either.
