Thanks for the response. Having looked at the bid packs these are the airframes I prefer. I don't really have an equipment preference and am looking at the types of trips they fly to help guide the decision. The Bus looks to have a bunch of day flying as well as a ton of OB's so I'm just wandering if any of that goes junior or if the airbus is the memphis local's airframe of choice.

I’d agree with this. If you are gonna live in base the Airbus really is a good choice. The majority of the CAs I fly with live locally. There is actually quite a bit of day flying and you should not have a problem grabbing O&Bs from open time.

Just to add another data point, looking at the current seniority summary, the airbus currently has the most junior WB captains. Not sure if that’s the norm.

In June, there were 3 O&B lines that went to 2021 hires. Most junior has been here just over a year. All 3 were PM departures.

I know you’re right. Even if I get lucky and am #1 with my 97## it’s still no guarantee that what I’m interested in will be available.

A buddy is awaiting an interview. His last 4 of ssn start with the dreaded zero.
He just got a new baby, and is trying to avoid the 11 in ANC. If he ends up getting it, can he defer his class date and try his luck with another base/aircraft assignment?
Also, if assigned the 11, what is the stipulation for the seat lock on the widebody for newhires?
