Like the previous poster stated, who really cares about the national president. It makes very little difference. What makes a much larger difference is our unity as a pilot group locally at FDX. We have failed. Let’s spend more time critiquing ourselves. Most of our pilots are self serving me first individuals. This leads to very little bargaining pressure and contracts that are less than they should be. This is due to no leverage applied by us pilots. We had a huge opportunity over the last 18 months and most chose to be self serving.

I'm capable of two things at once. I think most of us are. Now, back to the ignore list you go.

While the power wielded by the National President is possibly not what many think, their ability to do grave harm to the profession is high if they are not a quality candidate. They are constantly asked to comment on aviation issues by the press and on Capitol Hill. If they are crass, unduly confrontational, uninformed or any of a dozen other bad qualities or involved in a scandal they can do immense damage to the profession and our careers.

That reads like a Google review of a certain candidate.

From another thread

Ambrosi 41,000
Insler 7,000
Couette 3,000

Based on that vote count the only people who voted for TI must have been a few UA reps. Well done FDX ALPA.

So much for that deal making rumor some proliferated on this thread. APC rumor mill was wrong again. Not surprising.
