Where’s ALPA? Probably waiting on the next move from the mediation. We’re not technically at an Impasse, though we like are in practicality. It’s easy to be ‘jealous’ of southwest and say “I wanna strike too” but what’s missing is they’re much farther down the road than we are. As was Alaska, as was Delta. I’d love it to be all done but I’m willing to be patient for industry leading pay.

The longer the company waits the more and more expensive this deal becomes. I know my goal posts have certainly shifted.

If what you mean by "technically not at an impasse" is that the mediator hasn't declared an impasse, you are correct. They didn't do that for DAL, Alaska or SWA either. Also, how were/are DAL, Alaska and SWA further down the road. If yo mean that they were in mediation for longer, fine, but that doesn't mean they were further down the road. We are down to 2 items. We started mediation with 4 items. How many items were on those other airlines list? How long do we have to spend on those 2 items before we are at an impasse? Length of time in mediation isn't a requirement under the RLA. The NMB can't keep us in mediation indefinitely. The courts have ruled as such.

when did they start negotiating?

The MEC has the poll results, heck there’s at least one dude that emailed half the crew force with his opposition because he wasn’t ready. If he and his kind are going to hurt our numbers I’d be cautious calling for a vote right now too. I’m not saying not never, but we need the votes to send a clear message.

I’m trying to nail down all the trolls on this forum. I managed to shut up nowork. So tell me FedEx1, what are the O/D of FedEx 1? Anthrax can be a real jerk, but he isn’t wrong. We need a strike vote and right now.

By doing a little reading between the lines of the SPSC email, it appears that the union is shifting gears from negotiating to planning for an impasse since there are no more scheduled mediation meetings. I believe that we will see the prepared strike vote education campaign beginning as soon as an impasse becomes official. The union leaders said at the joint council meeting that it’s ready to go, but that it wasn’t time to start the campaign. If we are at impasse with the company then NOW IS THE TIME.

Once the mediator declares an impasse, the clock literally starts that day. So we would be allowed to strike at exactly 30 days after the day the mediator has declared an impasse. I would think that it would be beneficial to start the campaign and vote before an impasse is declared. Although nothing keeps us from continuing status quo past the cooling off period but management could also lock us out or impose their terms as well.

Not sure what you mean by shutting down all the Trolls. Are you playing admin? Is he a troll b/c he disagrees with the ridiculous posts on here?

Anthrax is a dope and should be called out for his ignorance. Sorry if you disagree with that but he takes zero responsibility for his ignorance.

it has nothing to do with being in favor at a strike vote- no problem with that at all. It’s the “just like 2015l” BS! That is worn out. Nothing about this round of negotiations looks like what we did in 2015. Anyone paying attention understands even that basic truth.
