To all of those trying to divide the crew force right now, shame on you!!! Your union has asked you to send a message to the company. What message are you sending? We need to shut up, vote, and let the NC do their job. Once we have a TA, we can debate the merits and shortfalls and vote accordingly.

THIS IS ON THE MONEY!
Retaining the jobs is not an area that needs polling data. Besides, an ALPA survey on the matter would say something like:
On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the most affirmative "I would like to retain employment with FedEx"
Seriously though, polling is not required, nor should we give anything other than a withdrawal of our services as a bargaining chip for scope. No negotiation with a self-help option should leave you in a position to pay for retaining your own job with your salary or retirement money.

NOBODY then knew we had a scope issue. Was anyone talking about it? IDK, I'm pretty up to speed with these forums and I attend nearly every ALPA event I can. I don't recall this scope problem being mentioned.
Now, go on and whine to the forum that ALPA should have seen this coming! (face palm).
What else should they see coming?
HOW ABOUT YOU attend your next LEC meeting and YOU introduce a motion to direct the MEC to examine scope and to develop language for our CBA to protect fifth freedom flying instead of blaming "the union" to which you're a member of instead of blasting ALPA here?

This is all a load of horse crap. The union has been working on this contract and the wants and desires of the pilots for more than two years now. That is well before the big hiring wave which hired most of our younger pilots.

Maybe ALPA should have educated the pilots if they were aware of how bad this section is. They were aware.

Scope Comm Chairman quote, I’ll be glad to email it to you if you want, “the lawyers acknowledge that it is the most poorly written section in the entire contract; full of ambiguities and loopholes.”
Maybe ALPA should have educated the pilots if they were aware of how bad this section is. They were aware.

I'd like you to pm me that comm if you are offering. Please redact you name before sending it though.
