Airlines own some regional jets and pay regional airlines to operate them. So FedEx doesn’t have sell airplanes for this to happen.
Even better, there is nothing in our current contract or this TA stopping Fedex from parking 757's, wet leasing lift from another company, and leasing our own 757's to them to make it happen. All while enacting 4.A.2.b and/or furlough. This is why Section 1 is the most important one in the contract, and works hand in glove with Section 4.

I don’t see the need for the scare tactics on either side of the fence. This TA speaks for itself, it’s a POS which is loaded with concessions. The same concessions which were rumored prior to the TA coming out. We were told they were just rumors and get the info directly from our reps. These rumors are now in black and white and same people are defending and trying to spin them. Every so called gain in this TA can be debunked, there is no real gain. IT’s concessionary and needs to go back where it came from period. No scare tactic required, it’s all there on paper.

the current contract would make this move very expensive, this TA would make it far cheaper, and when money is saved, it’s not the labor force reaping the benefits, but the execs and WS.

the NC’s argument that the company would never do this because it would stain the brand is asinine! They are gambling with people’s jobs, instead of protecting them all costs. disgusting.

Let's talk about some of these issues.

Former NC members have gone to management. VPs, DOs, and most places in between. So there is that.

About fear at the MEC table: As one who had been there for "The Talk," Doom and gloom is sadly a "go to" tactic.

The real question is despite that talk, will the MEC lead us in the right direction even if it is harder to do and may have a chance of short term failure for the longer term gain?

Short term gains have caused us long term losses way too many times.

I have spoken against this TA1 because while it may have $70M a month in gains (debatable), it should have had a lot more.

I also agree the MEC did not do its job and listen to us or lead during the difficult times, so fear tactics is their last resort.

When the videos come out from last week if they edit out the controversial statements, we will know how scared they are.

Default Fear and greed index is high

Instead of mailing paper contracts to us, could we spend that money to have a film crew televise the roadshow? What if I could not attend? Are we supposed to call in sick or abandon duties to family and church? Modern podcasts have a chat format where listeners can ask questions.

Why are the comments turned off in you tube videos?

The NC is very afraid of pilots asking real, challenging questions to this TA.

I can hear them: Damn those Unconscionable pilots staying behind hoping for a good career here, like we have enjoyed!!!

The way they are selling the new CBA language at the Road Shows is through speculation, modelers, and rosy-colored assumptions. The NC is actually aiming for 50%+1 at this point, like the company. That is how pathetic this TA is.

It is very encouraging though that unlike 2015 it seems this time we have enough pilots willing to vote down the NC's Unsat first try. Passenger airlines, much less profitable than our company, have shown it can be done. But our NC is fighting these realities with all the misinformation they have at their disposal, I mean, charts with asterisks. They want out on this contract.

We need to send this back to the NC, and the company, by a large margin.

The show is being filmed. Comments are turned off because they don't want it to become an APC sideshow.

American DOESNT FLY THE 767 or A300. Think their negotiators invested ANY effort in payrates for aircraft they’ve retired? How ‘bout our 757 compared to their smaller A321neos?

[QUOTE=CloudSailor;3656436]The NC is very afraid of pilots asking real, challenging questions to this TA.

Then NC is afraid of answering questions? You can ask whatever you want in person at the roadshow.
But nice spin.
